Meine Kommilitonin Vanessa und ich haben eine eigene Klasse bekommen. Sie besteht aus Austauschschülern aus Spanien und Deutschland. Es ist wirklich eine große Ehre, dass die Schule das Vertrauen in uns hat, dass wir schon so gut ausgebildet sind und eine eigene Klasse haben dürfen. Vorallem um eigene Erfahrungen zu sammeln, Methoden auszuprobieren und sich selbst als Lehrer zu beobachten ist sehr hilfreich, um eine gute, reflektierte Lehrerpersönlichkeit auszuprägen.
Unsere Aufgabe ist es, ihnen Unterstützung in Englisch zu geben, Grammatik zu wiederholen und ihre Kommunikationsfähigkeit weiter auszuprägen.
Außerdem bieten wir für die höheren Klassen Kommunikationstraining in Deutsch an, da das Teil ihrer Abschlussprüfung ( vergleichbar mit dem Abitur in Deutschland) ist.
Zusätzlich begleiten wir die anderen Lehrer in Klassen, um auszuhelfen und um zuzuschauen.
Actually I really like to go to school in Kinsale. It is a great experience to see how school works here. Especially I like the very friendly and open- minded caretaker, teachers, the deputy principal and principal.
My fellow student Vanessa and I are in charge of a class of exchange students from Spain and Germany. It is such a great honour that they believe in us to lead our own class. Our task is to give them extra lessons in English, which will be fun, because you can improve yourself and introspect how you are in class without other teachers.
We also help the 6th year students with extra communication practice in German for their exams, which are similar to our A-levels in Germany.
Additionally we join the lessons of some teachers to help and to learn from them by watching their lessons.
